about

There is an old southern painting of a wedding called "The Old Plantation" where a drummer and a banjo player are playing music. Yazid & I spent two years experimenting & recording a blend of Afro/Caribbean drumming with clawhammer banjo & this cd is the result. Here are traditional & Celtic reels and marches as well as some original tunes that tell a fun percussive story. This may be my favorite cd while driving--it will keep you awake & tapping your steering wheel. It's been played on NPR's "Thistle & Shamrock" as well as taxi cab drivers around the world.
